Here is a sweet one! This 46" tall Kawai UST8 was built in Lincolnton, North Carolina in 1993 and looks like it could have just rolled out of the factory yesterday.
If you need a piano that plays great and has a beautiful sound, this Kawai studio will impress you! It has a whopping 2,062 square inches of solid Sitka spruce in the soundboard, giving it enough capacity to fill a large room with music. The hammers show hardly any wear and everything about this piano indicates it has had loving care from the onset.
This piano is designed to withstand the rigors of use (and big swings in temperature and humidity) in many schools and churches. It's institutional style removes the easily-breakable music rack that you find in console pianos and replaces it with a shelf/rack that you can spread out 6 or 8 pages of music on.....quite nice when you are accompanying and need lots of room for your music.
The studio piano also features toe blocks that brace the legs back to the main cabinet. If you move often, this is a definite plus! This design will protect the legs from getting snapped off in a move. Also, you can easily move this piano around your house (or school, or church) by simply getting on one end and pushing it. There is no need to pick it up and carry it. The large, double rubber casters will protect wood, carpet, vinyl, and tile flooring while protecting the piano at the same time.
A new Kawai studio piano lists for $7695, so you can save over $4000 on this "like new" model and your friends will never know this one is used (unless you give your little secret away).
