Well, you won't find these every day!
This French Provincial Steinway console piano has graceful lines, a beautiful tone, and a matching bench. We acquired this piano from the husband of the original owner. He was proud to show us the Charles Steinway had personally sign it for his wife (Nancy) when she first purchased the piano in 1962.
You can't find this model new today, so (if you want a vertical Steinway with some pizzazz) you should visit Mid-America Piano in Manhattan, Kansas. Known as "The Little Apple", Manhattan is not quite as famous as our big sister in NYC, but we are exciting and quaint in our own regard. We are nestled in the rolling Flint Hills among tall grass prairies and blue sky. We are home to Kansas State University (the Wildcats!) and a next door neighbor to Ft. Riley Army base and the 1st Division. If you'd like a break from the hurried pace of big city life, hop on a jet or jump in your car and come visit us!
The owner of Mid-America Piano (Dan) grew up here in Manhattan and knows all of the local attractions. If you let us know when you are arriving, he will likely be glad to show you around town. He does know where all of the good places to eat are, too! Many of the old structures in Manhattan are constructed of limestone, as limestone is extremely plentiful in the area. Nearly anywhere you dig, you will hit rock if you go down a few feet. It's great if you love rock, but not so great when you are trying to put in an irrigation system in your lawn. Oops, sorry, got sidetracked.
Where were we now? Oh yes, this Steinway piano is stylish, it IS a Steinway, it plays well, and has a warm Steinway sound. Come see Manhattan and bring your favorite stack of music. You can audition this piano....and over 100 others. We have a special "collection" of hand-picked pianos that you will enjoy tickling the ivories on!
Have a nice drive. We look forward to meeting you!
