This Yamaha P202 is a first cousin to the Yamaha P22. They are about identical. The P202 was built in Yamaha's factory in Michigan prior to the opening of the Thomaston, Georgia factory....where the P22's were eventually built.
Anyway, to make a short story long (some folks say I'm good at that), these pianos are just tough as nails! You don't want to try to destroy them but, in the event the neighbor kids decide to come visit, you can rest at ease knowing that there is no music rack to bust off....and you can lock (yes, LOCK) the keycover! This model is typically seen most in schools, so sometimes it is necessary to lock the cabinet up tight.
For instance, a teacher can hide chocolate inside the upper part of the piano and lock the lid. Yep, then comes planning period. Time to unwind and break into the secret chocolate stash!! Who would have ever thought of that?
Sorry, I got sidetracked. The piano plays and sounds great, too! Come visit us. We will entertain you with all kinds of cool piano trivia.
