Steinway built some of their very best instruments in the 1920's. This was one of them!
At 5'10" in length, the model L (also known as the Living Room grand) is large enough to fill a room with beautiful sound, yet not overpower it. Dimensionally, it will still fit into a modest space, yet not dominate the entire room. This is about the optimal combination of tone and size for a home.
This Steinway received a thorough restoration a few years ago and is still in tip-top playing condition! The restoration included a new pinblock and #2 (original factory-size) tuning pins, new bass and treble strings, new damper felts, a new satin ebony lacquer finish, new fallboard decal, etc.
The original spruce soundboard and hard rock maple bridges are in excellent condition, which is unusual for a piano of this age. This is a strong indication that the piano has been meticulously cared for over the years and never subjected to adverse temperature or humidity.
You could pay $10,000 more for a Steinway L with a "fresh" rebuild, but why??? You really won't be able to tell the difference...except in the HUGE savings you will enjoy here at Mid-America Piano!
Why do our customers like us? Because we work super hard to find great values just like this Steinway grand for them. You can fly all across the country and not find a nicer piano for the money than this one.
Don't think too long or this one will be gone, gone, gone. Someone will be grinning all of the way home and enjoying this piano for decades to come. That someone could be you!
