2010. Seriously? Yes, this piano was built in 2010. Still a toddler.
This 52" Yamaha professional upright is an AMAZING piano! Holy smokes. I sat down at it to see what it would do and OH MY! This thing has a powerful, full tone and a whole bunch of personality! It made me want to stay around and enjoy it for a decent amount of time. Mind you, we have 9 foot grands in the store I could be sharing my day with; however, this piano speaks my language!! I found myself playing stuff I didn't know I had in me. Some instruments simply inspire you. This is one of those.
The polished ebony cabinet is in great condition. Check out the pics. It shines so good that you can probably tell the brand of the car 100 feet away in the parking lot in the reflection! You will enjoy the "soft close" keycover that won't slam down on little fingers, too. The strings, hammers, dampers and pins all are in immaculate condition. There is a mute rail also....for those times when you don't want to wake up the whole house.
If you check out the serial number, you will find this piano is made for the U.S. market or otherwise known as "seasoned for destination". Many of the Yamaha professional uprights for sale in the U.S. were originally built for other foreign markets and have migrated to our country. Pianos that are climatized (designed, kiln-dried and built) for the U.S. are preferred by many buyers.
Yamaha hangs a $14,559 MSRP on a new U3. They are great pianos! Now, you can go spend somewhere up in that range...or you can get generations of beautiful music out of this "like new" piano. You be the judge. Come check this baby out and confirm it is everything we say.
You are going to be inspired.
