Charles R. Walter pianos are some of the finest pianos still being manufactured today....and they are built right here in the U.S.A. in Indiana.
If you pick this thing up, you will recognize immediately how well it is constructed. It is H.E.A.V.Y. If you are a gypsy and move all of the time, do not buy this piano. Your donkey will hate you for having to pull this piano around in the cart! On the other hand, if you don't move very often and want a world-class instrument that is absolutely wonderful and in pristine condition....this is YOUR piano!
Check out the pics and PLEASE click on the "view MORE PHOTOS" button. The pics help tell the story of this piano! Here are just a few of the highlights:
• The cabinet is constructed of mostly 5 ply lumbercore throughout. It is solid.
• The pinblock (which is what keeps the piano in tune) is mega thick....29 ply!
• 5 huge Sitka spruce backposts!
• Boston fallboard (keycover). Works smoothly and doesn't jam.
• Heavy duty, reinforced, mothproofed hammers.
• Made in the USA (we're glad to repeat this feature)!
You will be amazed with the touch and tone of this piano. The action is very responsive and smooth, allowing you to play anything from pianissimo to fortissimo with ease. The piano just sings with a full, rich tone. You will love it!
Don't pass up this piano. It is fair to say a Charles R. Walter piano is constructed as good as a Steinway...but their list price is well under HALF that of a Steinway. Then, when you look at our price, you will notice that it is considerably less than list price (about 1/3). When you consider the prime condition of this instrument and the fact that you'll receive the friendliest service on the planet (at least we think so), you are getting an investment that will keep your family smiling and making beautiful music for generations to come!
