1950 Mason & Hamlin console piano, flame mahogany - Upright - Console Pianos

Check out this gorgeous, flame mahogany Mason & Hamlin console piano! This decorative piece of furniture has been babied throughout her life and is still in extremely nice condition. Built in 1950, this lady is celebrating her 70th birthday this year!!

You won't find many console pianos that sound better than this! It absolutely has the most rich and full tone you could possibly ask for. Is it the 70 years the spruce soundboard has seasoned? Is it the fact that Mason & Hamlin pianos were among the finest instruments built in the day? Whatever it was that went into this piano (the "secret ingredient"), you just won't be disappointed in how it sounds!! You will fall in love with it....pretty fast. The action leans slightly to the light end, yet takes enough finger weight to give you full control over the dynamics.

The cabinet is quite unique in that it features four legs....which really adds an element of sophistication. Furthermore, there is an original set of pristine ivory keys on this piano. They are nice and white with no chips! It is quite unusual to find a piano this age with perfect keys. Also, the original bench is in great shape, too. Benches often get used as "extra seating" for Thanksgiving or other parties when you need more chairs. To find a piano bench that is still solid after this much time is an extra bonus. The lady who gently cared for this instrument for so many years upholstered the top of the bench. I am not sure what the "needlework" is called....that isn't my area of expertise. It adds quite a bit of "wow" to the piano. If it is too exciting for your taste, it can easily be changed out to something more subtle.

Why not celebrate this lovely lady's 70th birthday with her and welcome her to your home?! You will find "they just don't build them like they used to".

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU......and many more!!

"It was a genuine pleasure to deal with Dan Murphy and his people! I can truthfully say that I find it very difficult to pull myself away from this glorious instrument."
