This piano is "seasoned for destination" and built for the U.S. market. Many of the U1's that arrive in the U.S. were originally built for Asian markets and "migrated" to the United States. Yamaha Corp of America does not provide service on those instruments and warns about these so called "gray market" pianos. Since the temperature and humidity in Asia varies from the U.S., Yamaha seasons the wood in the pianos differently for our market.
