This Yamaha 52" (U3) professional upright piano is a great instrument! It has about the same amount of soundboard surface area and string length as many small grand pianos, providing the tonal quality and power you don't typically receive from of a vertical piano.
We polished the brass hardware and high-gloss, ebony cabinet and it looks really nice! To look at it, you wouldn't guess it was built in 1982. You should easily expect another 40 to 60 years (or more) of reliable service from this instrument. People often ask us how long pianos last. Well, that is a great question!! We currently have pianos that are over 100 years old that are still very good instruments! One of which is actually 135 years and could probably celebrate its 200th birthday and still be cranking out some good music. It isn't unusual for a high-quality piano to last 80 to 120 years, or more. After that, you can restore them and give them many more decades of life!
A new Yamaha professional upright this size lists for over $15K. Here at Mid-America Piano, you can enjoy supreme quality for about 1/3 the cost! Yep, only $5888 while it's on sale!
