FRESH ARRIVAL!! WOW....If you have been searching for a Yamaha grand piano in something other than black....this 6'6" walnut C5 is absolutely LIKE NEW!!
The rich brown walnut on this piano is stunning and not the "orangish" color that some walnut grands are. Please check out the photos. The matching duet bench is also in mint condition, which is a testament to the care given this piano. At first (and second) glance, you would swear this piano is either new or less than 5 years old, but she was built in 1982. If you didn't know it, you'd never guess it were so.
Her tone is powerful, fairly warm and lucious.....Mmmmmmmm. The touch is super smooth and expressive. I could sit and play this piano for hours! There really isn't anything NOT to like about this piano.
Now, maybe the best part. A new black Yamaha C5X currently lists for around $66,999 according to pianopricepoint.com (you are welcome to see for yourself). Also, it says available finishes in this size are polished ebony, mahogany and satin ebony....and it doesn't list walnut! So, you can guess most of the big walnut trees have already been harvested and walnut is just too exhorbitant to purchase. IF you could get this model new in walnut, we're guessing you'd pay upward of $70K, easily.
