Check out this "LIKE NEW" Kawai studio piano and matching adjustable bench. Built recently in 2003, we sold this piano new to the original owner....and it hasn't moved since (until we brought it back to our store).
Her polished ebony cabinet is about as clean as you'll find and the brass shines like it just came out of the crate. This model K-18EA measures 44" tall and has the toe blocks (braces) on the legs which make it easier to move. It also features a soft-close fallboard that allows the keycover to close gently, so as not to smash little fingers! There is also a mute rail so you can practice softly while other things are going on in the house.
If you have been playing on an old spinet or console, this piano would be a WONDERFUL upgrade!! The large spruce soundboard, long strings and heavy hammers provide everything needed for you to enjoy a full, rich tone! Maybe not quite as big as a grand, but not far off either (for a smidgen of the price).
This piano was built in Japan, as are the higher-end Kawai studio pianos and grands. The current model that is most similar to this piano lists for $9595....and is made in Kawai's Indonesian factory. It is still a great piano, but the Japanese models like this one seem to be preferred.
You can run out and get a new piano (that will depreciate the second it rolls out of the showroom).....or you can shop at Mid-America Piano in Manhattan and get this absolutely immaculate Kawai K-18EA studio piano for only $3988!! We will deliver it within 100 miles of our store at no additional cost to you, we'll include the first tuning and a one year warranty, and you'll receive the friendliest service around!
